Here is the reality: people love gambling. They even try and guess the gender of unborn babies. But the betting market isn't for everyone. We spoke with over 100 people. 99% of them had either gone to a gender reveal or have heard about them before.
45% of people thought gender reveal parties are a waste of time, money and intimacy. Some people even told us they believe in a more old-school approach where you find out the gender on the day of conception. "The couple should experience that moment privately, no party required."
47% of people responded positively about revealing the gender of a child in a way that is exciting, creative, and celebratory. They embellish the surprise factor. They want friends and family to share the moments of thrill, joy and ultimately happyness. It's also another chance to gather, bring gifts, eat, laugh, listen to music, and plus - everyone gets a cool instagram story.
7% of people didn't think negatively or positively. They don't love it but don't hate it.
1% of people never heard of gender reveal parties.
"You do have to admit, there is something exhilarating about a gender reveal party experience."
