'We Done With Hand Dryers!' Make Paper Towels in Public Restrooms Great Again

Not all, but far too many venues only have hand dryers in their public bathrooms - where did the paper towels go?? This is a first world problem obviously, but a problem nonetheless.

This isn't hard news, but someone had to say it.

We won't even discuss the Harvard Health research article that I screen-shotted below:

Just listen to how that headline sounds: "bacterial horror of hot-air hand dryers." It's gross and disgusting to even utter, but the real issue here today is: when did venues stop offering the paper towel option inside their bathrooms? This isn't even about sanitary consciousness. This is about liberty. Where did the option go? There is a major spike in paper-towelless restrooms and a major hypocrisy in major cities - who will have gender neutral bathrooms but no paper towels in there. No option. Just dirty air blowers.

The Harvard Health Blog says the hand dryers are essentially sucking up the restroom-air from its environment, storing the particles, metastasizing it, and then blowing it right back on your clean hands. As disgusting as that is, despite what Harvard found, seriously, where the hell is the paper towel option? Provide the option.

Let's be honest, no one has ever liked the concept of hand dryers. And since 2018, Harvard even explained our instincts scientifically. Unfortunately, ivy league time, money and research has gone blatantly ignored in major cities & venues. How much money can it possibly be saving your business when you only have stinky-air-blowers? Bring back the classic, courteous paper towel option. Not even the automatic dispensers, that you have to wait on and time perfectly to get more than three pieces. We deserve as many as we want.

"Hey, instead of drying your own hands and then leaving, stay here! And put your hands under this hot, stinky air we’ve gathered for months. Don’t move. Yes, your hands will be still damp.”
